Choosing the Right Pillow Insert Size
Measure your empty pillow cover from seam to seam, without the old insert inside.
For a full, designer-style appearance:
- Keep the insert diameter the same as the cover diameter.
- For bolsters 20 inches or longer, add 1 inch to the insert length for better end fill. For bolsters under 20 inches, keep the length the same or add only 0.5 to 1 inch. Add 2 inches only on longer bolsters where the cover clearly has extra room.
For example, pair a 6 x 20 bolster cover with a 6 x 21 down feather bolster insert for a full, tailored look. The matching diameter prevents bulging, while the added inch of length helps fill the ends.

What to Expect
Your down feather pillow insert may arrive compressed for more efficient shipping. Remove it from the packaging, gently fluff and reshape it, and allow time for the natural fill to regain its full loft.
