We love making new friends at PillowCubes, and one of the perks of being a small, USA-based company is the fact that we have the opportunity to get to know our customers on personal level and become friends. We love seeing all of the shops, businesses, DIYers, sewers, and homemakers come together around a common purchase and bring our pillow inserts to life in such diverse, unique ways. 

One of our new friends is Rachel, owner of the blog Joyful Derivatives. Rachel is a blogger, DIYer, and creator. In her own words, "I love to create. Everything about it makes me giddy… I love to imagine, design and make things. I love to take an old piece of junk and make it into a treasure. I love to see something I want and recreate it with my own special touch. I love to make gifts for other people. I love putting together a table scape that makes people want to linger at the table."  This month, we have the opportunity to partner with Rachel for House Beautiful and Calling It Home's "One Room Challenge" and we could not be more thrilled. 

Rachel is redoing her entire dining room throughout the challenge and will be using PillowCubes' throw pillows and handmade pillow inserts to bring it all together! We're already big fans of her plan (below) and love the mixture of dark colors with the muted pinks and greys.
