Vacuum Packed Pillow Inserts

If you haven’t ordered from PillowCubes yet, you might be surprised to know we have vacuum packed pillow inserts. While it may seem alarming to open a box and see very compressed pillow forms, I promise they are just moments away from being gloriously plush forms.

We put our pillow inserts through the process of vacuum packing in order to save space and, therefore, shipping costs. Shipping nowadays is all about the dimensions, and vacuum packing helps minimize one of the dimensions. We do everything we can to cost-effectively send you the best pillow forms out there.

You may be thinking, “Hold on a minute...I just ordered a few pillow forms and the shipping was really high!!”

It’s true that shipping costs can be costly with a small order. One reason for this is that we can’t eliminate the fact that pillows are large--both in length and width (we’ve only solved the dimensional problem in the thickness or depth of the pillow). The longer and/or wider the pillow, the more shipping will cost. Another reason for the higher shipping costs on small orders is that we can’t maximize the space in the box like we could with a larger order.

This is why we recommend buying pillows by the case (lovingly called a cube around here). We can maximize our efforts in manufacturing and shipping, so you get a better price per pillow and better shipping rates.

Now, let’s get back to the issue of vacuum packed pillow inserts. Once those pillow forms arrive, they won’t take up much space at your business or home. If you’re purchasing for your business, you can keep them sealed until you need them. Here are some examples of helpful situations:

  • Hospital staff can have more pillows on hand, since they’ll store more efficiently.
  • Businesses using pillows as giveaways can put them in a smaller gifting container.
  • Etsy shops can ship the pillow with a handmade cover and use a smaller shipping package.

I’m sure there’s plenty of other reasons to keep them sealed, but those are the top situations we hear about.

Whenever you decide to open your pillow form, it will be pretty easy. You just carefully cut the plastic off one end (and automatically hear air starting to seep in). Pull the plastic apart, and those vacuum packed pillow inserts will come to life. It will be plush and ready for use almost instantly.
